  • Irish '91 SSR 2 door

I'm thinkin of lettin this surf go. Reason is its a 2 door and with 2 small kids its an inconvenience not having the back doors. Thats the thing about 2 doors in any motor - theyre more for single people (my opinion). Obviously beautiful women are forever throwing themselves in my path as I drive about in my 2 door. Anyone got 2 spare rear doors?

What it had going for it was this:
    Well serviced
    Cambelt 5,000 miles old
    Replacement 2L2 engine non-EFI
Very smooth '86 pickup manual gearbox
    Clutch 10,000 miles old max
    New battery
31" road tyres on landcruiser alloys
    2" Roger Brown bodylift
    Extended diff breathers
    New chrome end quarter panels
    NCT until 08/06
    Tax until 04/05
    No rust underneath

What it has against it is this:
Small indent in front of both rear lights
Small scrape above right rear wheel arch
    Rust bubbles above passenger window
    Carpet stain below passenger mat
Cracked head discovered after timing belt snapped (must have walked under a few ladders)

I love the 2 door Surf. It's just begging to be bobtailed.
          It's only a hobby!

The timingbelt broke on it and after getting the head off its a fact that the cylinder head was already cracked in 3 places so the unfortunate man who would have bought this surf from me would have been - just that.

                    €2,000

Sent you an email. Even better than email andy is the private messaging system this website offers. I'll watch for emails from yourself but a new PM tends to catch the eye immediately.

To use the PM system you must either,
                              1) Suscribe to the forum, this enables the PM system, gives you the ability to change your avatar and choose your own title, rather than newbie surfer etc and gives you a blue star beside your name. It is also greatly appreciated by those who run the forum, as it helps ofset some of the running costs.
                              or
                              2) Have in excess of the required number of posts, think its 300 but I'm not entirely sure.
