turbo timers

i have just bought a 2.4 surf and would like to loose the turbo timer so when i switch off the engine stops does any one know how i go about doing this

my timer has a button on it that overrides it. if i hold it down long enough it turns it off and it is now just a silent black box stuck to the underside of my dash.
