I agree. I've got a reversing method. I just hit the brakes when someone shouts OI, mind me fekkin' bonnet!

Reversed a few weeks managed to remove steel reinforced 8ft pillar from local shopping centre!!, bent spare wheel holder, tailgate, bumper, all straightened now, pillar still in bits , luckily it was dark!!!
So maybe don't need it after all!!

Windiz

I was wondering when someone was going to say it!!! I got windows in my Surf, so all I need to do is look out of the windows to see where the back end is.

Trouble with relying on technology to aid you reverse (sensors, cameras) is one day the'll let you down resulting in an almighty crunch.

Perhaps there is a mod to go for - the most reliable reversing aid of them all - a little old lady with a beige handbag shouting 'Come on Alfred, just a bit more'. These seem to be very popular in Post Office car parks on a Thursday.

i've reversed into...

reading borough councils bollard and "welcome to reading" sign
a van concealed next to a skip
davies next door neighbours car

they come in threes so i reckon i need a go forwards sensor more desperately!
