    96 N85 truck 2L II engine, 5 speed manual.

My gear change lever has loads of play, I've changed out the nylon bushing, made no improvement. Its like stirring a bowel of soup...

Box works fine, no noise or other problems. Any suggestion on a fix? other adjustments or suggested parts to consider replacing.

Did you change the pivot bush as well as the bush that goes at end of gear stick?

marlin has heavy duty version, tho you can get stock one from toyota.

common problem is the seats crumble into little bits. marlin have instructions there on how to change it.

Good info, tweak'e. I used Toyota parts when I did mine, but they'll probably need replacing again some day, and this will assist greatly.
