first post and i'm in trouble,
i have a 95/96 3rd gen surf 3lt auto with multi-mode 4wd.
the last time i used 4wd was about a year ago and all was fine,
went to use it in jan. and nothing just flashing lights on the dash.
done all of the searches on the subject which pointed to the transfer
actuator, had a look and found the breather pipe had come off,
so armed with a dry day thuoght i would clean it out but when i removed
the cover the gear came out as well, so was unable to make a note of possition of gear.
could anybody please advise me how to reset the timing as i dont want
to chew the plastic gear up.
also what is that big watch spring for??
