hard riding surf

Hi,new to your forum,have been following for a while,very good.Have a question.my 96 gen 3 hilux surf SSRG 3.4 vg is very hard riding.tried all different pressures,from 25 to 36PSI,changed my tyres from 275 geolander A/Ts back to standard 265/70/16s,made sure button is on soft setting.nothing makes a difference.every bump the vehicle sort of shudders as tho Ive got tyre pressures of 45.wondering if the shocks are hardening up [done 220,000 k].steers well and goes well.thinking we must have very rough roads.would new front shocks soften the riding?Any advice appreciated.Decided to put new monroes shock absorbers in front,and wheel alignment .Little bit better
