i have the classic gutless up hills problem with our 2.4 auto k plate. thanks to the forum pages i am confident its the usual unconnected turbo sensor issue (green on start up, no green light at or above 1900 revs). having found the sensor was totally unconnected, i found the white nipple thing (sorry fixing cars are a new thing to me), expecting to find the hose here also missing (so just needing a new pipe to rejoin them). But no - there is a hose connected to the white nipple at the top which runs adjacent to the red dipstick (auto box fluid i think) an index finger length downwards and diagonally backwards under the block. i have looked at some of the photos here and think the rest of the tubes are in the right place (looked at nifty nevs 11 point diagram but cant id the components or indeed their locations under the bonnet). my question is then - to what/why is my nipple attached under the block? thanks
