Hey guys, i need some serious wiring genius here.
So we've identified the 5spd tranny and tcase in my jeep kit car....from an Ln130 surf/hilux/pickup 1988-1993 with the electric/push button shift (actuator on the back of T-case)
My question is, how do i wire up the system to engage 4wd, bearing in mind i have no A.D.D or ECU, i have no light or switch/button in the cab either (ford 3l v6 essex and nissan chassis with r180 lsd diff and man hubs)
I'm sure i can find any old switch for the purpose, and there is a 4wd indication light on my speedo so i can prolly use that, but odds are it doesn't work so i'd set up another one close to wherever i put the switch, my question is HOW do i do all of this without permanently damaging the actuator or t-case:bang:
Could anyone help me out with this? the way i see it it's just putting a switch that sends power to the actuator, which is told when to stop by the sensor on the actuator probably via some sort of relay which then sends signal to a light to tell me i'm engaged? perhaps i'm over simplifying it and in all honesty i wouldn't know where to start. There are 5 wires in total coming out the actuator (2 from the base which i think may be power for motor and 3 out the back cover which i assume are the limit signals) There is also a sensor/transmitter bolted into where the actuator shaft enters the tcase, which i assume is the 4wd indication....is this correct?
I can get under there and get all the wire colours if that helps in any way, i'll do anything right now!!! i've got these 33" bfg sitting with hard nipples and no where to go (in 4wd) and i'm itching to go ape crawling
here's some pics of the tcase....
