Hi everyone, Ive got a mk3 2.8 na hilux and I recently had an engine rebuild. The truck was lying idle for a few weeks during the rebuild and obviously the batteries were disconnected.
.the engine is back in my truck now and all the ancillaries are hooked up. Perfect time for the immobiliser to crap out. Its a toad cat 2 immobiliser ( the one with the little touch key thing). The battery light is coming on, and its not starting (exactly the way it works when the immobiliser is functioning correctly). However the led on the imob is not flashing any more and the touch key certainly isnt deactivating it.
Ive tried the the key code disarm too (turning the key multiple times to key in a code) but nothing. No flashing light. Zip
Have tried to jump the batteries incase they were flat after sitting idle for a few weeks, but to no avail. Has anyone any ideas? what does the actual immobiliser look like? Have taken the dash out and found a yellow wire running from the touch point, but then its spliced into the a part of the loom that goes into the bulkhead. Im totally boned here.
Any help would be mucho appreciated guys.
