spigot bush

does anyone know if the cranks on 2,nd gen surf auto & 2nd gen 4runner are universal ? i,e machined to take a spigot bush for manual box, have got 2nd gen 4runner with goosed engine, and it seems i got more chance of gettin an engine from an auto than a manual. have never had one of these out b4 so this is muddy water to me
