Crank position sensor

Anyone know where this is located? (a pic would be nice) If it was faulty, would it produce the symptoms I am getting?
Starts and runs perfectly, then starts to misfire with blue smoke from exhaust. turn it off and the fault goes away for a short time then returns.

There might be a KZ185 up for sale in the very near future............
