Does anyone one know where i could get hold of a new Kickdown/Throttle cable looked on RT but looks like they don't do them is this going to be a toyota jobby??. Mine is set to full adjustment but it is still slack garage thinks this is why it as loss of power on set-off yet it was fine before it went in??
What was it in the garage for?
The cable needs to be slack otherwise it won't shift gears properly.

The idle up button isn't latching, you just press it to idle up, press it again to get back to normal, and only works in N or P, its all electrical.
Ah Cruise I get you, ta Tony, em yup mine dont work then cos it wont work in Park or neutral, my electrical diagnostics are not good lol, unless a fuse is missing.... lol
So there should be 3 cables on the linkage? I's only got two, is this the reason my throttle up button does not work?? presses in half way and springs back..
Andy, just so you don't look silly, if you pull on the kickdown cable it goes slack like that and stays slack till you run the car and select gears. Is that how it is when first lifting the bonnet or have you poked it?
Aye, if there's enough light down there. The pictures are to show that the kickdown cable is clearly wrong and that the clip holding the filler in is damaged.
