i took my fan off of my 3.0ltr kzn130 took it apart.. suprise suprise no oil! so what i did is the same as we do with lorrys where i work is filled with atf put back together all working, quiet at idle lots of air drawn when revving. The way i see the viscous coupling is it has a heat sensstive valve to allow fluid transfer so if the fluid is thinner it will allway get through the valve to lock it via central fugal force... well thats my way in thinking
