Shift rattle

Hi, before I start to dismantle the centre console, is there a tensioner spring on the gear selector. It has developed a rattle, it works fine and is caused by the movement of the truck as opposed to anything from the gears.
As I'm typing also thinking is there a spring underneath truck?

Any ideas before I get the waterproofs and spanners out ??
