FWIW, I don't think anyone came out of the infamous "blown head" thread smelling of roses. Presumably why the thread got deleted. (It did get deleted didn't it?)
General summary: Doesn't make much odds either way which you go for. They're both pretty good options so just go with what suits you best from a practical point of view. At least, thats my opinion of things.
I got a Roughtrax pre-built head put on mine by a friendly local garage (dunno how much it worked out for the parts in the end but it was about £200-300 to get it fitted there) and it seems to have done the trick ok.
As seems common amongst those who suffer from the aftermath of a blown head I now suffer from "overheating paranoia" and will be taking steps to keep things running cooler before the long, hot, glorious summer (I wish!) hits us.
It got partially deleted and moved to the mods section.

The best cure for your paranoia would be an aftermarket temp gauge. I also recall a thread on here about mods to your standard gauge to make it more accurate. Bushy would probably know.

Not upsetting me at all.
Especially as you seldom stop by.
You however have proven to me what I have suspected for some time now.
That is, that eventually all dick heads end up in France, irrespective of their nationality.
