My eldest daughter got married 3 weeks ago and for her wedding car they hired a 1962 MGA sports car. I had to pick it up just north of York and drive the 50 miles home on the Saturday morning. Had the roof down and it was foggy some of the way, my head was freezing. I drove her to the chapel with the roof on, to save messing her hair. After the wedding they drove to the reception and then they had it all day Sunday for a ride round the North Yorks Moors.
You forget the brakes weren't as good in the 60's and no power steering. You have to do everything earlier. All the family were trying it out up and down the hotel drive Sunday morning.
