One little issue with the new motor. The 'Brake' warning light came on briefly yesterday (yes, I did have the handbrake released..). After some unnecessary worrying, it occurred to me to look under the bonnet for the thing that looked like brake fluid went in, check the level and top it up. All sorted now I think.
Anyway, I had a thought that now I have a V6, I may be in the priviliged position of being able to get a petrol 4runner Haynes manual and find out what all the bits and pieces under the bonnet are. The potentially stupid question is therefore whether a petrol surf is exactly the same as a petrol 4runner?
Something was rattling in the engine bay yesterday too, but by the time I'd opened the bonnet it shut up. Whatever is was had obviously fallen off now, so no need to think about that any further

Incidentally, I will post pics once I have removed the stupid big stickers and dried on t-cut.
