hey Vince, going down your route of fixing full length rails to motor. found a talented guy here that fabricates steels for boats and yachts. he`s sourced some stainless audi estate runners in perfect nick and he`s fitting 40mm tubular cross rails made from marine quality stainless steel all attatched with quick release brackets that also allow them to be slid up and down runners to alter position, the front crossbar is square to allow spotlight fitment and will also have a tilt mechanism to allow lamps to be folded forward for carrying long flat loads.he`s doin the lot for £170 including parts and labour which i think aint bad cos i`ve seen his workmanship on a wrangler jeep. will post photo`s when finished, should be done by wed or thursday. with all the steel he has and pipe bending equipement i can see this just being the start, feel some bling coming on ha ha
