46) FRONT BRAKES, STEERING SPACER AND WHEEL HUBS
The discs on a 2nd gen are thicker than on a 1st gen, and the callipers etc are fairly easy to swop over.
BRAKES
So Tony fitted..
a) Second hand callipers from a 2nd gen
b) Drilled and grooved discs from Rough trax (2nd gen / KZN130)
c) Genuine Toyota Pads (2nd gen / KZN130)
d) Braided brake lines

44) STEERING DAMPER
A new Pedders one from Rough Trax was fitted. As you can see from the pics it's a lot beefier than the old one.
I've also changed the one on my gen 2 and it made a big difference to handling and how easy the car was to drive around corners and roundabouts in particular.

40) NEW ENGINE MOUNTS AND FITTING OF 1KZ/T IN 1ST GEN
The engine mounts on the 1st gen aren’t in the right place for the 1KZ/T. So Tony cut the chassis legs off the donor 4runner, and cut the engine mounts of and welded them in the right place on the 1st gen.
This took some time, and the engine had to be pulled out and put back in several times.

35) 2 INCH BODY LIFT
The body lift was bought from ebay, and made by a company called xpajun.
Pictured is what the truck looks like after the body lift. The original wheels are back on as it was too big to fit on the trailer with the 33s x 12.5s

33) TAKING THE 1ST GEN TO TONYS
At long last!
End of November 2018 I took the 1st gen to Tonys with the 2nd gen.
I also met up with two other 1st gen owners (Maciej with the grey one pictured, and Doug with the orange one pictured) and we went for a bit of off roading, and beers!

32) NOT MUCH LEFT OF THE DONOR TRUCK
It's not been raided for the engine yet (that's for Tony to do), but it's already looking pretty bare!
At the time the photo was taken it was still at Matt's yard and being used by Adam's dog as a toy! (he liked ripping the carpet out!)
