  • 3rd Gen Headlights for sale

    Hi Guys,
My trusted KZN185 3rd Gen lives with me in Spain, I therefore need to make it legal with LHD lights. I have therefore a set of (as new) RHD lights to sell. These were purchased from Milners 4x4 in January this year so they are only 4 months old. No scratches or marks to be found. They will be in the UK ( Bristol) in approximately three weeks, should anyone want them I am asking 200 (pounds) plus delivery if required.
I can't think why knowing it was coming to Spain I bought rhd's I must have had a blonde moment.

    Hi,

Sort of related to your post but I am after a set of LHD lamps for my KZN185, which too is in Spain.
Have you had it matriculated yet? If so did you find the process easy and what did it cost you? I'm in Andalucia so it's possible the costs will be different to yours, but it may give me an idea. Also, any tip/tricks/hints for a smooth matriculation?

    Thanks in advance.

let us know how you get on with that matriculacion because the last time i tried to do that they where saying that it wasn't allowed to import RHD on a LHD country, thanks

can you not get in contact with milners, and ask for part exchange explaining your blonde moment?
done that when i had my blonde moment with other company, and it worked.
i would say its worth a try.

I can say with 100% certainty that you CAN import a RHD car into Spain and have it matriculated, I have a Vauxhall Vectra now on Spanish plates. There are some restrictrions though and complications like, NO commercial vehicles can be done and you may also have problems with ex MOD Landies etc. But I have seen a Surf and a Pajero on Spanish plates and as you know they are both Jap imports, so I know these can also be done. But due to the limited chasis numbers it's more technical that a 'normal' motor.

Just to clarify that it is possible to matriculate a commercial vehicle I have done an escort van and a friend has done a transit tipper.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Just to clarify, it might be an Andalucian thing as I mentioned in my first post. Completely different laws to the rest of Spain and at times more or less its own country. They will NOT matriculate a commercial vehicle, possibly because of the danger in blind spots from the lack of windows, I'm not sure, but here it can NOT be done.

Not 100% relevant but in my search for headlamps I've found this pretty good parts site where you can enter your chasis number and it lists stuff for your motor. http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/
