  • Servo assisted clutch

Hi, i have recently been working in new bond street installing (welding) a dimond vault. Not being able to park my van in the city, i took the 4runner. As you know the traffic in and out from the city to the M4 can be painfully slow at times with constant stop-starts. By the time i reached the motorway my left foot was really aching. I did a bit of research and some where on one of the LR forums i read that some of those guys fitted a servo to operate the clutch (power assisted). Great idea! Well i bought a compact single servo from car builder solutions and fitted it into the 4runner. What a difference a servo assisted clutch makes to city driving, it used to be a real pain but now a pleasure. It was a very strait forward modification making a couple of brackets and fitting the new pipes to and from the servo and to the point where the slave cylinder picks up. I have put in a few photos for all to see.
    Peter.
