          nice one

on a separate note is the gearbox completely drained when its removed from the engine because alot of atf came out of the torque converter and if thats the case how much is needed to fill it up? bear in mind it will be run with a aftermarket oil cooler so that will be part of the capacity too

engine begins trial fitting phase, so far there is only one problem and thats the steering column hitting the manifold

I think V8 Soarer 'Log' manifolds fix that. Or, move the engine back or to the N/S.

                        Looking good
I had a similar issue with mine, I massaged the manifold slightly and it's also possible to remove the rubber shock part of the steering column and replace with some bolts ill post a photo.

got the mounts done today with all the clearances sorted, its close though but everythings sitting pretty

ended up grinding the heatshield bolt hole down so it misses the steering column and moved it over a tad so theres about 10mm gap, theres about 10mm too on the manifold/torsion bars and the cam end/handbrake

dropped the fuel tank too and started that, all the brake lines above it are solid so bonus
