Check the PDF technical info on the rough trax site for lubricant details.

Can anybody help clarify this for me?
Hello there I have the same motor in a 1997 surf. I had the oil changed at a stand once and they said it took 6.5 liters without the filter being replaced. I usually do it myself and with the filter it seems to take 8 liters.

with regards to the cv boot guide if u havent got enough room to get the shaft out just undo the front diff mount and jack the diff up about a quarter of an inch then there is loads of room to get it in and out.

On a 3rd Gen should I be changing the oil in the front diff? No service guide or manual covers it. If so how is it done please?
Don't forget when topping up the auto box to check the level while the engines running. Like it says on page 1, it takes about 4.5 litres NOT 2.2 as published elsewhere and in various manuals and specifications!

Is there another thread on here or could you add how to grease a nipple, sorry, not a mechanic, here about it all the time but I'm afraid I'm captain clueless on this one,
