I've seen 30 mpg (tank average) on a very gentle (like 60 mph for the entire tank) motorway drive.

I probably average about 20.... as petrol is cheaper than diesel fuel wise its not that much of a biggie.
    More Lift.
    More Tyres.
    More Engine.

That mpg is fine and dandy.

I still have plenty of road to go with the 1kz. its getting a 3'' exhaust and a tune up and i am sure it will be good for years to come but having this sat at the end of the road is a very happy destination to head for

        A quick update...

The truck has been running strong for a few years now!

I did have an aircon compressor failure... I have a new pump and condensor to fit.. I just need to clean out the old system, and rebuild and regas...

Since regearing the speedo has been off.. I have a module to correct it... but not had time to fit it, likewise, I have an engine oil and a transmission oil cooler waiting to be fitted, along with a better oil take off plate from our own Scott.

The best bit though is today I went to Shakey raceway, and broke the 16 second barrier!

The Hilex ran a 15.96... which isn't fast... but we are talking a jacked up 20 year old surf on 33s!

Added bonus, the chap I was paired with had a GT-86, totally factory... (which is the best Toyota offer these days....)

The surf was faster both times I ran against him.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread. Awesome job mate, wish I had the time and the knowledge to do something like this.

Gotta start small, and I'm off to view a Surf today, after being Surfless for 8 years
