    No not really
Haven't really tackled that problem yet, just been cleaning the block and cam covers.
Gonna get it upside down and spray some brake cleaner through the plug holes and let it drain out through the exhaust outlets.
Don't think there's a lot in there if any at all but want to be sure.
One thing I'm unsure of, Where do you put the flexi exhaust sections? Is up the front or over the axle?
I have nearly all my bits in a big pile, gonna get the engine pretty much re built before I take the surf off the road.
    Thanks

      I have one of these.....

I unscrew the flexy spout section and Gaffer tape it to the end of the hose of one of these....

Then poke it down the ports to suck any shite out.

Yep, the same sort of set up will be involved at some point.
I just know there will be some crap stuck to a wet patch of oil in there somewhere though.
The brake cleaner should dislodge any the the Hoover misses, then evaporate.

I have a query for Vince or anyone else who may know, is the thing in the pic a pick up sensor for the immobiliser?
If so what do I need to remove from the lexus to ensure this will not mess me up later on?
Nearly finished rebuilding the engine, gonna start to remove the 2.4 lump tmrw I hope. Will post a few pics a bit later on
          Thanks

That could be a key 'reader'.

Whats your ECU's part number? 89661-?????

In your last photo, where the fuel line is crimped onto the banjo fitting, slice the crimped part along it's length and prise it off. This leaves a barbed hose tail on the banjo fitting, ideal for connecting your new fuel line using proper fuel hose clamps. (Not Jubilee clips)

p.s. Take that P/S reservoir off and get it mirror polished!

I'll be doing the loom this week-end, as I need to make some space first.
Got a garage full of Surfs and V8s at the moment.

No immobiliser with that ECU, so you don't need anything else.
                                Same ECU as Lexurf VII.
