  • Mark 3 3.4 Litre V6 SSRG with Leathet & 2" x 2" lift

It is a (VZN185) 3rd gen SSR-G 3.4 Litre V6 Petrol injection and still accelerates out of the blocks like a scalded cat when you floor it. Silver/Grey N reg, 2006 registered. Did have the light blue interior, but had carpets and rear seats dyed black/navy and the plastic trims sprayed black (vinyl paint). The front seats are leather re-fits from a Scooby.
It has the 2" Rancho lift from Roughtrax (Feb 2012):

    Quantity Product Price
01 Rancho Full 2" Suspension Lift Kit £378.00

and Tony N fitted an additional 2" body lift, in order to fit Mickey Thompson Baja MTD 305/70/16 on black modular steel rims. They have plenty of tread on them and a brand new spare, rear slung on the back. (The good thing about this combo is that the wheelbase is slightly wider and longer due to the tyres/wheels, which offsets any additional roll you would normally expect due to the lift. It still corners as well as ever) I also have had the following fitted from Roughtrax in July 2012:

    Quantity Product Price
    02 Front Anti-Roll bar link £17.50
    02 Upper Ball Joint £15.00
    01 Lower Ball joint L/H £31.00
    01 Lower Ball joint R/H £31.00
01 Front Control Arm Bush Kit £155.00
    01 Front Anti-Roll Bar Bush Kit £16.00
01 Rear Trailing Arms & Panhard Rod Bush Kit £92.00
    01 SuperPro Rear Anti-Roll Bar Bush Kit 19mm £16.00
01 Spare Wheel Stopper Rubber £19.99

I have upgraded the front and rear speakers and had a double din DVD player in it, but have moved this to the new car, so no radio m afraid.

Other than that it has been serviced regularly and well looked after. Has 6 months tax - MOT till August. There are of course usual nicks to paint and wear and tear for 1996 truck. Also there is part of the dash console which I didn't finish painting (ran out of time before a road trip to Spa) and I ran out of weather last year when I had started to brush and protect the underside.

It's a real beauty and head turner. Have offers for it from all the Scottish 4x4 lot, and will need to be picked up from Dunfermline or Edinburgh.

I really hate to get rid, as it is hardly worth it for the money and I love having it for camping and the winter up here, but spare drive space, tax, insurance, MOT and servicing when I hardly use it is now making it surplus to requirements.

I'm flying to Sri Lanka on Monday so will not have time to look at responses until the 7th April. Please PM me with offers above 3k and any questions. I will reply with all I can and go with the highest bidder first, who wants to see it when I get back.

Will try and answer all I can before I go away after the weekend. Thanks, happy bidding and please find her a happy home.

I would offer but fear I would be miles away given the advertised price.
Lovely truck but 3.4 will be a limited market. EBay probably worth a go mate.

Slightly off topic but how much does it cost to dye and re-spray the internals? There is a lot of beige out there at the ones I'm looking at!

Long shot, but can anyone tell me the wheel width and offset on this?

The stance looks spot on and I wish to shamefully copy it...

Yes, tyres & wheels were from Silverline:

                        http://www.silverlinewheels-tyres.com/4x4/wheels/steel

                        They were: 16 x 10, 6 x 140 et-32

no additional offset - the wheels were fitted straight on, but required some 'creative' hammer work by Tony N to fit them on without rubbing.

Thanks - No, I didn't get much response at first, then needed to get the Exhaust done for the MOT, and as I was getting it done, I did some additional work on bearing and seals and brakes to spruce it up a bit, so kinda thought I may as well keep it for a bit. Have had a few offers since, but will prob keep hold of it for the time being. Radiator & Heater matrix are going to get replaced this week, but went through MOT fine last week, and insurance is cheap. I was going to swap it for a GT86, but I'd miss the handiness of the load space for camping and moving equiptment. If the Mrs didn't need a car and I could justify 3, I'd probably get the GT86 and then replace the surf with a LC and jack that up.

Good luck with the lift - Tony will see you right. Diamond geezer!!

I see, you've got the same disease as me, you want to keep them all, lol it was too cheap anyway...

Finally got round to ordering the bits for mine.

One last thing and I'll leave you alone I promise, where did you get the clear front indicators, I can't find them anywhere.

                              Cheers
